IF KARNEA IS AUGUST 13-17, WHEN SHOULD I PLAN TO ARRIVE AND DEPART PITTSBURGH?
Recommended arrival is on Tuesday, August 12 if golfing.
Golf outing is Wednesday, August 13, in the morning.
Workshops begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.
Entertainment and kickoff begins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.
Karnea ends with banquet on Saturday, August 16, at 7 p.m.
Plan to depart on Sunday.

Room rates are $106 plus tax per night for single, double, triple, or quad occupancy.
I AM A CHAPTER ALUMNUS VOLUNTEER. IS THERE REIMBURSEMENT FOR MY KARNEA EXPENSES?
Division pays registration.
Division presidents will provide the Central Office a list of approved volunteers whose Karnea registration will be covered by the division. Volunteers are responsible for registering by the May 1 deadline.
Contact your Division President regarding potential reimbursement for hotel room costs.
If you wish to room with another alumni volunteer, please contact that alumnus and make just one hotel reservation. Alumni volunteers are responsible for making their own hotel reservation, whether you are rooming alone, with your spouse/guest, or if you and other volunteers decide to room together.
(There is no reimbursement for travel expenses to Pittsburgh.)

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION FEES AND WHAT DOES THAT INCLUDE?
Included in registration fee:
All convention activities and scheduled meals.
Registration, convention manual, opening reception, AAA luncheon (or guest outing), leadership breakfast, out of hotel event, t-shirt and Karnea banquet.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Registration cancellations must be made prior to July 15 in order to avoid a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after August 7 will receive NO refund.

Children (Karnea Kamp)
We will provide guests with local third-party childcare contacts and various child-friendly points of interest in Pittsburgh.
HOW DOES OUR CHAPTER FIND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ATTEND KARNEA?
In an attempt to keep costs down, no financial assistance/mileage reimbursement will be given to chapters. However, undergraduates may find funding through the following:
· the chapter budget
· the house corporation
· an alumni board or association
· campus leadership/student activities – contact your Greek Advisor
WHAT IS THE OUT-OF-HOTEL EVENT FOR THE SESQUICENTENNIAL KARNEA?
On Friday afternoon, August 15, we will begin our Pilgrimage to the Founders House in Bethany, WV where we will Honor the Legacy. Events include campus tours, informational sessions, dinner, and the re-dedication of the Founders House.
