NOMINATIONS
Beginning in 2000 with its passage by joint Arch Chapter/Undergraduate Council action, the Fraternity adopted a set of practices and procedures for this process which were designed to assure Delta Tau Delta continues to attract leaders of the highest caliber through a proceeding which honors its principles. To facilitate that effort, the Arch Chapter and Undergraduate Council created a recommendation form for elected service. A copy of the form and explanation of the process CAN BE DOWNLOADED HERE. We are asking that anyone interested in elected service, or in recommending an alumnus for service, complete and return the form to the Central Office by April 1, 2008. This will facilitate the process of recruiting alumni and will enable us to provide adequate communication with Karnea delegates regarding the background and credentials of alumni interested in elected service.

PREPARING FOR VOTING
To prepare for the Karnea, each chapter needs to do some advance planning. Please help us by giving your attention to the following items:
1. Election of Delegates - Each chapter must send three (3) elected voting delegates--two undergraduates and one alumnus. The same number of alternate delegates should also be elected. Karnea delegates must be elected by each undergraduate chapter. Please note that colony members and chapter pledges are ineligible to register as a delegate. All Delts are welcome to attend the Karnea, and non-delegates have all the rights and privileges of delegates except voting.
2. Qualification of Undergraduate Delegates - An undergraduate delegate must be a member in good standing of the undergraduate chapter he represents for at least one regular term prior to the Karnea and must be returning for the next college year. He must be in good financial standing with his chapter and the Fraternity, and have a scholastic average not less than that required for graduation at his institution.
3. Alumnus Delegate - The chapter may elect any alumnus it desires, regardless of where he resides, but the chapter should immediately contact the alumnus of its choice to notify him of his selection and determine whether he will be able to serve as a delegate or alternate. Even though your chapter advisor may not be an alumnus of your chapter, he is qualified to serve as your alumnus delegate.
4. Alumni Chapter Delegate – Chartered and operating alumni chapters with a membership greater than 25 but less than 50 members may have one alumnus delegate. Alumni chapters with a membership greater than 50 may have two alumnus delegates. The alumnus delegate may register as the delegate when he registers on line for Karnea.
