“NUTS AND BOLTS”
Karnea kicks off on Wednesday, August 13, with several hours of “nuts and bolts” chapter programming. These sessions are designed to help chapters with the specifics of chapter operations and management. Retreat planning, recruitment programs, committee meetings, public relations and much more will be the focus of the Wednesday afternoon programming.
SUCCESS SYMPOSIUM
On Thursday, August 14, we welcome successful Delt alumni from a variety of industries and professions to share their life experiences and how Delta Tau Delta helped them achieve success. These Delt leaders will share their their fondest memories of Delta Tau Delta while offering tips for life-long success in ones career, family and community.
ADOPT-PITTSBURGH
The entire Karnea will participate in Adopt-a-School, the Fraternity’s community service project on Thursday. We will be working with children in the Pittsburgh area by sharing the morning with them. This will include tutoring, mentoring and role modeling.
LIFE SKILLS
On Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 sessions will be offered to assist you, undergraduate and alumnus alike, in areas related to financial planning, career preparation, resume writing, dressing for success and other life-skill related areas. While Karnea programming earlier in the week focuses on the chapter, these programs focus on the development of the individual Delt.
OUT-OF-HOTEL EVENT
On Friday afternoon, August 15, we will begin our pilgrimage to the Founders House in Bethany, WV, where we will Honor the Legacy. Events include campus tours, informational sessions, dinner and the re-dedication of the Founders House.

SATURDAY
Karnea concludes Saturday, August 16, with the Foundation Breakfast for donors at 7:00 a.m. and the election of a new board of directors in the afternoon business session.
Local chapter reunions will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Also at 6:00 p.m. is the Karnea Banquet reception. The Sesquicentennial Celebration culminates with the Karnea Banquet at 7:00 p.m. Join us immediately following the banquet for the dessert reception.
